AGWPJA WIN!!!

I am honored to say that I won 6th place in the ring detail category with the Artistic Guild Wedding Photojournalist Association. This is my first photography contest that I have entered and was quite ecstatic that I placed within the top ten. The WPJA is an international organization that I am proud to have joined in November for photo journalistic wedding photographers, the AGWPJA is an extension of that group.

Jessica and Reid's Wedding!!!

So yet again I am way behind on posting. The end of the season becomes a little overwhelming.

Jessica and Reid were a great couple to work with, so easy going. And don't forget their great shoe choice. Reid and all his guys wore black chucks and Jessica wore the cutest hot pink shoes that looked fabulous with her dress. And speaking of the dress it was perfect for her, she looked like a princess.

They were married at My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown on an unbelievably gorgeous day. The weather was absolutely perfect. The last time I had visited MOKH was probably in elementary school on a field trip. I was blown away with how pretty the grounds were. We couldn't take pictures in the actual house but there were plenty of picturesque spots elsewhere.

I also was able to do a bridal session with Jessica after the wedding. It was so much fun, we went downtown Louisville and took advantage of the great, colorful buildings.

Trick or Treat?!?!

We took our daughter out with her two cousins last night for Trick or Treating. Okay so she is too young for candy but it was fun getting her dressed up and watching my nephew going door to door. At first he was a little hesitant but it didn't take long for him to figure out the power of those three words which = free candy!!!!

Mackenzie and Jeremy's Wedding!!!

I have been a little behind on posting, but I am happy to share with everyone some images from Jeremy and Mackenzie's wedding.

I first worked with Jeremy and Mackenzie last spring when I shot their engagement pictures. There has been a recurring theme, school. I got to shoot both of them on their engagement shoot in a school bus and then on their wedding day we took some portrait shots in a small one room school house across the street from the church in Indiana.

Their reception was at the Grand in New Albany, a fabulous venue. They actually used some of the engagement pictures as move posters outside, too cool!
